CCD Lenten Project

Collection for Ronald McDonald House

Our Holy Apostles CCD program will be collecting for the Ronald McDonald House in Pittsburgh. This will be our Lenten outreach for 2018. After long days at hospitals, families welcome home cooked meals prepared in the House Kitchen. Keeping the House fully stocked depends on the help of the community and we want to be sure they have everything they need.

Click HERE for a list of items that are essential in providing families with the comforts of home so they can focus solely on the well being of their child.

So, we are in need of more crocheters and will teach anyone interested in learning the art of crocheting.

You are welcome to crochet at home if you prefer. Please come to the session February 21st for an explanation, details, bags, yarn balls, etc. and see the finished product. We welcome everyone and you do not need to be a Lady of Charity to join us.

Appalachia Mission Trip

July 15 - 21, 2018

18th Annual Mission Trip

It is that time again to begin recruiting for our annual mission trip. Since 2001 volunteers from our parish have been traveling to Louisa, Kentucky - the heart of Appalachia. Our work is to continue the legacy of Fr. Ralph Beiting who worked tirelessly for the people of Appalachia for over 60 years.

Our trip will be July 15-21, 2018. We will be teaching vacation bible school, completing home repairs and visiting with the local people. We are limited in our numbers, so it is very important that you contact me as soon as possible if you are interested (412-884-8222).

All volunteers are asked to pay $75 to the mission center for use of the facilities and help with fund raising for the other expenses. God Bless! Please consider this awesome opportunity to spread the love of Jesus through our actions!
